Support for Farmers in Difficulty: the Wallon Agricall Association’s Specific Scheme
This article presents certain specific support methods offered by a Walloon association to help farmers/breeders in professional difficulty, and most often also personal. Initially focused on psychological support, the system has been extended to take into account the various organizational, social, economic, agronomic or legal determinants involved in these situations. The characteristics of the approach implemented, aiming at the globality and singularity of the situations taken care of, as well as the mediation processes that underlie the interventions are evoked. The specific dynamics of these accompaniments are then analyzed from the concept of “solicitation”, opening the reflection on the questions of professional autonomy and the recovery of the “power to act”.
